DICGC के अनुसार eligible bank deposits में savings और fixed deposits शामिल हैं तथा एक depositor को एक insured bank में same right and same capacity के तहत principal और interest मिलाकर अधिकतम ₹5 लाख तक insurance cover मिलता है.
Savings Account
अलग-अलग banks की interest rates, transaction limits, balance requirements और other terms अलग हो सकती हैं.
Bank Fixed Deposit (FD)
Premature withdrawal, penalty, reduced interest या other conditions bank और FD product के हिसाब से अलग हो सकती हैं।
Liquid Mutual Fund
Savings Account vs FD vs Liquid Fund:
| Factor | Savings Account | Bank FD | Liquid Fund |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product type | Bank deposit | Bank deposit | Mutual fund |
| Lock-in | सामान्यतः नहीं | Tenure होती है | Lock-in सामान्यतः नहीं, लेकिन exit-load/processing rules देखें |
7 Practical Checks
Emergency fund
DICGC के अनुसार eligible savings, fixed, current और recurring deposits पर एक insured bank में same right and same capacity के लिए principal और accrued interest मिलाकर अधिकतम ₹5 लाख तक deposit insurance cover है।
- Premature withdrawal allowed
- Sweep-in या sweep-out facility उपलब्ध है तो उसकी actual terms क्या हैं.
Applicable NAV, cut-off rules, transaction processing
Current SEBI material में subscription के बाद day 1 पर 0.0070%, day 2 पर 0.0065%, day 3 पर 0.0060%, day 4 पर 0.0055%, day 5 पर 0.0050%, day 6 पर 0.0045% और day 7 onwards nil का schedule दिखाई देता है।
| Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|
| ₹40,000 × 6 months | ₹2,40,000 |
Eligible deposits के लिए ₹5 लाख की insurance ceiling एक depositor के same right and same capacity पर insured bank level पर apply होती है, इसलिए बड़े deposits के लिए diversification of banks को समझना relevant हो सकता है.
Emergency Fund
Simple Decision Framework
